Product Grading Setup

If you are wondering what is the product grading feature, the best example you can use is vegetable grading.

Let’s say you buy and sell vegetables as a business, you probably buy the vegetables in bundles or in cartons. However, as the quality of fresh produce may deteriorate quickly, you want to grade them regularly.

For simplicity, you would just grade them as Grade A, B or C. And this is what the “Product Grading” feature is all about.

Setting Up

Before you can start using this feature, here are the few things you want to configure.

1. Create Grading Location

Go to Inventory > Settings > Stock Location

2. Create Stock Journal

Go to Inventory > Settings > Stock Journal > + New Stock Journal

Note: Remember to create the sequence if you have not done so yet – read here

3. Select Transform Journal

Go to Inventory > Settings > Inventory Settings

Ready to Go

Once all these have been set up, you can now create your product grading transaction. Just go to

Inventory > Inventory > Product Grading
