Landed Cost / Shipping Cost Allocation

So your goods have arrived. However, there are still unaccounted cost that was not in your Supplier Invoice. Yes, you still have shipping cost (which might be different from the estimated amount) as well as any duty paid.

Note: Make sure to find out how to account for this in your chart of accounts too.

      Explanation: The landed cost feature is an extra feature to help you manage the cost of goods more accurately. Hence, it is not compulsory and it is just an additional tool to your cost management.
