Adding a New Currency

This section explains how to create a customer invoice.

Step 1: Go to:  Main Menu  >  Accounting  >  Settings  >  Currencies  >  + New Currency
Step 2: Fill in the relevant information.
Step 3: Managing the exchange rates

Go to: Main Menu  >  Accounting  >  Settings  >  Currencies  >  + New Currency

Brief explanation:

  1. Name: Enter the name of the currency that you are able to add into the database.
  2. Sign: This is the symbol of the currency. Read here to get access to the list of sign for all the currencies.
  3. Code: This is like short name for the currency. Read here to get access to the list of sign for all the currencies.
  4. ISO Number (Optional): The three-digit numeric code is useful when currency codes need to be understood in countries that do not use Latin scripts and for computerised systems. Read here for reference.
  5. Account Receivable (Optional)Kindly refer to your accountant for the information.
  6. Account Payable (Optional)Kindly refer to your accountant for the information.
  7. Current Sell Rate (Optional)This information cannot be entered here. Click here to learn to enter the current sell rate.
  8. Current Buy Rate (Optional): This information cannot be entered here. Click here to learn to enter the current sell rate.
  9. Product: Pick from one of the product which will be using this currency or select “New Product” to create a new one.

After filling in the relevant information, select “Save” or “Approve”.

Step 3 – Managing the exchange rates

To enter the information on sell rate and buy rate.

Note: By using this feature, you can update the sell rate and buy rate whenever you like. The history rate will always be available for your reference.

      Explanation: Yes. There is an fast access that you can click on the “right button” at currency field. Choose “New Currency” and it will bring you to a new page for creating a new currency
